Number of new threads

Just wondering why it is that now matter how lomg I am away from the site, when I click on view new threads, the highest number of new threads never goes higher than 30. I can't believe that even if I haven't checked it all day that only a total of 30 new posts are ever posted. Is there a setting or something that I need to change?

I've increased it to 60 for you, it's to avoid heavy loads on the server. It is a search function so if there are a lot of members using this and other search functions on the forum it can become intensive.
