Question
Just wondering if we are going to be having a the rep points now, I think it would be a lot of fun! This forum is the exact same layout as reality check and they have the rep points under the User CP. Just curious!

From my understanding, each post can be approved or disapproved, and that user has their total points added up? Weird! |

That's not quite the way it works. There is a voting option for any thread but it's not a part of the user reputation feature. Vote on a thread if you think it is a good read etc.
The user rep feature is basically going to end up being how well liked or disliked a given member is in the community. It's basically just a toy to have some fun with, that being said I'd urge everyone not to give negative or postive rep points without reason. It does works on a per post basis.

I have like a million questions.......where can you give neg rep? And when you do will your name show up? How can you see if someone gave you rep? And how many rep points do you start out with?

you start out with 10 points, you can give positive or negitive rep in the scales in the upper right corner of each post.
