Hey just got my son a Wii for xmas and want to know what is the best or preffered mod for it?

Theres 2 mods.
one is hardware on the DVD drive, the other is using a zelda disc and not updating the firmware and installing the homebrew channel.

If you only want backups go with the hardware mod. if you want homebrew you need the software/zelda mod.

I use Wiikey2. They are cheap, 6 wire easy install, and rock solid performance.
avoid infectus/argon, they are terrible.
D2Pro is also good but quite pricy for the identical code they cloned from the wiikey 2.
