What price would be fair for this PC? - NS4Sale

Hey there, i'm thinking about going from my desktop to a laptop, as i don't really play games any more. Just looking for some input on how much you guys think i should ask for it? Here's the specs:

AMD AthlonX2 4800+ 2.6 GHz
2x1Gb Super Talent DDR2 800
ATI Radeon HD3850 256Mb
MSI K9N SLI mobo
NZXT Hush case
LG 16x DVD-RW drive
Thermaltake 430w PSU

I would strongly suggest getting a laptop first and using it for a couple months before dumping your desktop. They are nice for travel and occasional use at home but not the best solution for home use on a steady basis, gaming or not, in my opinion.

Well, the biggest reason i'm looking at going to a laptop only is because i'm going to need one for a new job i'm starting soon, and i'm going to keep the keyboard, mouse and monitor for when i'm just using it as a desktop. I'm looking at getting a dell xps 1330 so it wouldn't be a slouch in the performance department.

I'd guess maybe around $450 if you found the right buyer depending on what size of HDD and if it comes with monitor/keyboard/mouse.

I can throw together a similar tower (new components) w/250G HDD in an antec case (500w) for $625 (that's before any discounts or MIRs are applied) before taxes so subtract at least 25% off of that for used components.

I agree. I love having a laptop as my second computer for when I want to lay in bed with it, or take it to the gf's place. But I wouldn't want it as my main system.
