Which one would you buy a laptop with a :

1..AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core TK-53

or

2..Intel Core Duo T2450

I believe AMD DC chips still outperform the older T2XXX line of core duo (not core 2 duo) intel chips.

I've also noticed that there are a lot more AMD laptops which ship with 2 gig worth of memory, and that's a huge boost in performance as well.

I'd go with the Intel. The AMD is only 1.7ghz, where the Intel is 2.0ghz. Core Duo isn't that much behind Core 2, so the Intel should outperform it by a fair bit.

Thanks for your help guys
but i noticed both were entry level notebooks so i decided to go with "AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-58" based notebook.
This should keep me going for awhile..
