Default New Monitor

Yesterday I replaced my 19" Acer LCD, since I was growing tired of widescreen and the lines running through the top occasionally were really starting to get on my nerves.

I picked up a Samsung SyncMaster 932BF 19" TFT-LCD from Future Shop for $229. It has a 2ms response time, 2000:1 contrast ratio, 1280x1024 resolution.

The Acer has been put on the spare PC / server.

Very nice buy.
Good price, and Samsung is the king of PC LCD displays.
Any Samsung I've ever sold was perfect, and the one time it was less than perfect (scratch on the bezel) they gladly replaced it.

I've got last year's model of this LCD (931BF) and it looks like the only real difference is the case. They've spiffied it up to match their big screen TVs.

I've been quite pleased with mine.

Had to almost arm wrestle the "salesperson" at futureshop to convince him that no indeed I was not interested in losing screenspace by going for a 19" widescreen vice the standard square model....

I reserved mine online when it was on sale for $229, so there was to be no selling me something else .

I definitely like the new design, very snazzy.

i would really like a second 19 " on my PC for running some apps. and i could have bought 2 of those for what i paid for one 19 " with a 12 ms response time a few years ago.

i love having widescreen, the only thing about it i have been annoyed with is app's that do not support 16:10. samsung monitors are real good in the quality area, though i find when running analog there is quiet a bit of noise. i found there is a lot more on my samsung than on my hanns-g. The hanns-g is crystal clear when it is in digital or analog and i love it.
