KeyLoggers Are Great!!
Well At least i think they are, my 15 yr old doesn't...lol
Last Night she said she was taking the Dog for her Run, which she does every night, so no big deal,,, we tell her don't be out long, etc,,,
Well She likes to hang out with her 16 yr old friend and an 18yr old guy friend, Yes call me old fashioned but what does an 18yr old see in a 15 yr old?? Too big of an age gap, considering in less than a year he can purchase alcohol and go in bars, so we put a stop to it!! He is Welcome in our home to hang , but they are not to hang outside of home or School.
While she was gone i read her history(she always unchecks it on msn) So the Keylogger is great
What did i read??? Well she had made plans to go to this "guy" friends house to get him and they would hang out!!!
She struts in from her 3 hour walk with the dog, All the while we knew where she was,,, her dad says geez Ashh what did you do walk all over Sackville?
She said No , i called on a friend(girl) and we walked to First Lake and hung out there.
I said Ashh you got one chance to be honest with me and tell the truth.. Sure enough she admitted where and whom she was with. The Nerve !!! She has no idea about the Keylogger though, i said her uncle seen them, and he is a teacher so he knows the 18 yr old.
I have no idea what i'm going to read the next 2 weeks though Cause she got grounded from the comp for 2 weeks. Hopefully that'll teach her not to lie and sneak around again. I doubt it though
But my point of this post is that i love keyloggers.
I'm sure some of you will say that is invading her privacy and personally i really don't give a Shit, She is my daughter and she can have her privacy when she turns 18

This is true Cin, but will you have her trust. It's a very thin line when dealing with teenage girls and their hormones!

And if she finds out you did, she won't be able to trust you, and you want to be the one she goes to when she really needs advice

Let me take her to the hospital for a couple hours... I'll scare the idea of having sex out of her for a few years!

An invasion of privacy is an invasion of privacy, whether your 15 or 70... no offense of course
ps: she probably does know you read her history haha, how else would you find out?

my moms an idiot with computers haha, but its not only that i put a password on my bios, thats simple to bypass, although she couldn't, i have chassis intrusion, so if she was to remove my battery or clear my cmos, she still wouldnt be able to get into my computer cause my intrusion detector stops her.

(chassis intrusion is a button inside your case, and is pressed when your side panel is pressed on it. When the side panel is removed/opened, the button releases and sends a signal to the motherboard indicating the case was opened. Some still let you into the computer with a warning message, but mine gives you the message and doesn't let you get into the computer any further). Mom, not knowing what would be causing that message, wouldn't be able to search up a fix for it.
ps, theres nothing special about the button, its the motherboard that decides if you will be allowed in or not.

Ok Cindy think about it this way....how old were you when you started having sex, drinking, possibly trying or doing drugs...
She's at "the age" for all of the above. It's up to you to educate her, love her, keep her safe and GROUND HER SORRY ASS FOR LYIN TO YA!! HA HA
And Tried, I know your Mom pissed ya off but that's her job buddy! If she didn't love you, she wouldn't care would she? She might have made a mistake looking at your history, msm whatever...but she did it because she was concerned. My mother did the same shit to me but when you become a parent yourself someday, you'll understand.
I think we do need to be aware of what are children are doing so we can take appropriate action.
Cindy, one more thing...the more you tell her to stay away from this guy, the more attractive he's gonna be to her! Been there, done that too. My parents absolutely FORBID me to see this guy and the relationship was more "fun" when we were sneaking around and probably wouldn't have lasted as long as it did.
