PC Post Yer Specs!

Time for an update on your latest, greatest rigs! Post em folks

Everyone keeping up on the upgrade frenzy we all crave? I have been, not nearly as much as I'd like of course but sometimes bills and that damned cost of living just get in the way!

My current rig looks like this:

Black Tsunami Dream Tower
Thermaltake 520watt PurePower Modular PSU
Asus P5N-E SLI Mainboard
Intel C2D e6600 2.4ghz Processor running @ 3.6ghz
Thermalright Ultra 120 heatsink
SilenX Blue LED 120mm Heatsink Fan
WD 74gb Raptor SATA Hard Drive
WD 500gb Raid Edition SATAII Hard Drive
2.5gb's Crucial PC5300 DDR2 667mhz Ram
XFX 8800GTS 320mb PCIe Video Card
LG Super Multi Lightscriibe DVDRW Drive
1.44mb Floppy Drive
SoundBlaster X-Fi XtremeMusic Sound Card
ATI 550 Theatrix PCI PVR card
BenQ 20.1" LCD Widescreen Monitor

I think that's pretty much it! Next up - some good PC8000 ram

I just picked up that laptop a couple weeks ago after my ThinkPad died. It's a really nice machine for the price.

The desktop definitely needs some upgrading though. I've started playing more games, and I'm finding the GeForce 6600GT isn't cutting it anymore. I'm thinking about the Radeon X1950 PRO (I hear the GeForce 8600s are weak), opinions?

I wouldn't mind getting matching RAM either. Right now it has a PC4200 stick and a PC5300 stick.

I need $1000-1500 just to dump into upgrading to a nice Core 2 desktop.

Next time you do this you should include 3dmark or pcmark scores.

I don't know what kind of ram I have but...

AMD 3500+ 64 (overclocking suggestions?)
MSI K8N Neo4
2 gigs pc3200 ram
pci-e ati x800 (with 16 pipelines unlocked so it's basically an x850)
300 gb ata
2 x 200 seagate SATAs
300gb external usb2 drive
200gb ext firewire (windows won't mount it...shows up in dev man, is ntfs, but can't use it - argh!!)
dual monitors (2 crts) (also installed an old voodoo card and occasionally do 3 monitors heh)
dvd-ram/dl/rw
aerocool masstige case

it's Steve Ruxton's old rig - heavily upgraded

ps - my 3dmark 2003(?) score is over 10000. no big deal really.
