Here's what RNT just put together for me.... it's the start of my media center.

MSI P965 NEO-F Conroe 4xDDR2 PCIe16x 2PCIe1x 3PCI SATA2 HD Audio GbL

INTEL Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86GHz FSB1066MHz 2MB LGA775

1Gb stick of DDR-2 667 MHz / PC5300

Nvidia 6600GT 128mb PCI-Ex

Seagate 250Gb SataII HD

LG DVD Writer

Basic black box

Win XP Pro

All I need now is a Hauppage dual tuner card, Beyond TV SW w/ remote and maybe another 250 or 500 Gb HD.

I got for now...

Asus p4p800 se motherboard

Pentium 4 2.8ghz, HT and all that good stuff (oc'd to 3.6)

1 gb (2x512) ocz premier ram (with the heatspreaders)

Radeon 9800pro video card

40gb western digital 7200rpm 8mb
80gb samsung 7200rpm 8mb

Samsung dvd rw drive, dual layer, lightscribe, 18x
liteon cdrw/dvd rom combo drive

Thermaltake aquarious II watercooling kit

xoxide x-purity mid-tower case

all running vista ultimate.


This cpus fast, but i miss my pentium m...

Nice little setup but I sold you an e6400 @ 2.13ghz Just thought I'd point that out!

i did, but it as dead, so he swapped it for a p4 for me. He may be ordering me a new one from ebay

cause i never game....i was big into 3Dmark 01 but now i use the PC for work and since i switched to PCI-E i never bothered getting a decent graphics card. in fact i was looking for a plain jane PCI card instead but they were just as expensive as the lowly pci-e card i have so i got the pci-e instead.
i had the x800xtpe agp card with the dothan system before and it kicked some serious butt.
tempted to get the x1950pro or the 7950gt tho......or maybe a DX10 card if it gets cheaper in the next few months.

RNT the power of your CPU shows bigtime compared to my poor old 4400+, seems to me the CPU(4400+) came out of your archive if I remember correctly
