Can somebody tell me again ,lol
How to change my default email to something other than what is available under the " internet options " ? I don't use Outlook & I don't want to use hotmail. Geeze
While I'm here... system restore has disappeared from my program menu Why did it all of a sudden disappear & how the fuck do I get it back ? That's a damn necessity for me

Download and install the gmail notifier found here: http://toolbar.google.com/gmail-help...r_windows.html
That should give you the option to make gmail your default send to:/from email application.
For system restore go to the start menu and click on "run" then paste this into it: %SystemRoot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

I don't know if Yahoo installs into the Windows choices for the default mail client but I expect it does if you have installed yahoo mail and messenger. To check rightclick on a blank spot in the taskbar, then go to properties, then the start menu tab, then click customize. Check the default mail client window to see if Yahoo is there.

I did have yahoo as the default before but I don't remember how I did it. The only options that are there are Outlook , Netscape & Windows Live .

What do you mean, that has nothing to do with messenger!

The Yahoo! Default Email Application is a small 60KB download that allows you to set Yahoo! Mail as your default email application in Microsoft Windows. For example, in Internet Explorer it lets you access your Yahoo! Mail account from any email link on a web page, as well as from the "File/Send" menu or the "Mail" button............

Set Internet Explorer or Firefox to open a Yahoo! Mail Compose window if you click an email link on a web page. Email links appear all over the place – contact us links, feedback links, peoples' underlined names. So, what email program opens when you click links like these? Make it Yahoo! Mail!
Here's how to set your PC, running either Internet Explorer or Firefox, to open your account's Compose window when you click an email link on a web page. We're sorry there's not an official version for the Mac - yet.
PC -- Internet Explorer or Firefox
1. From the "Start" pop-up menu in the lower left corner of your desktop, select "Settings" ▶ "Control Panel".
2. In the Control Panel, select "Internet Options". This opens the "Internet Properties" window.
3. Click the "Programs" tab along the top.
4. Click the "E-mail" pull-down menu, and select Yahoo! Mail*
Click OK.
*Are you not seeing Yahoo! Mail in your list of E-mail programs? Download Yahoo! Messenger. It's easy, it's quick, and it puts Yahoo! Mail in your E-mail application list.
