Default LCD monitor help!!!!!!

I've got a Dell E173FPb LCD monitor that is on the fritz. I turned it on one day and the screen was completely white anyone know how to fix this?????

have you tried testing your monitor on another computer.. you never know it may be your video card.. just a thought.

i had an old CRT that i plugged into my system and it works fine. is there any way to repair LCD's or at the current price am i better of buying a new one?

I think thats only the backlight thats working sounds like the video board in monitior died. I imagine you best off buying a 160 dollar 17 inch lcd at wal mart but check ebay for one with a busted screen and if your savy maybe u can take the old board out!

It could also be something simple like a capacitor popped on the video board(I've seen lots like that). If so it's not a lot of money to fix. I'd say take it to an electronic repair shop and have them take a look at it.
