Ok , so my Mom's been giving me a hard time about her computer. I ask her what is wrong & she tells me " This computer is slower than you on a good day "

She probably does have a system that's older than me I'm only 44

I have a desktop here.. IBM P3-500 , 125 mg ( pc - 100 ram ??? ) . 10 ? gb hard drive ??? What do I need to add to this to get my crazy mom off my back ?? Is it even up-gradeable ?? What are the min requirerments for XP ? No gaming or nothing just browsing capabilities

XP will run on a PII 233mhz with 64mb ram and a 2gb hard drive but you should bump it up to 384-512mb of ram and it'll run XP quite nicely. Oh and I have lots of that ram for sale

xp i found runs fine on 256mb ram

I could remember back in the ol'hfx4sale days when you would NEVER post how old you were...you had me thinking you were like 60 something.

I would recommend RNT's suggestion, XP will run pretty good on a P3 500 with 512mb's of ram.
