Default "Tom's" in Sackville - nothing but disappointment

So apparently the owners of the former Zorba's in Bedford opened up "Tom's" on Sackville drive. The only good thing I have to say is that it looks really nice inside. We attempted to have breakfast there last Sunday. Three of us were sat in a booth off in the corner large enough for about 6 people. We placed our orders and each requested the "endless pot of coffee" that by observation of other tables was served in an insulated pot so you can refill your own coffee; a good idea I will say, but....after not too long another server delivered single cups of coffee.

Here's where things went down hill.

We downed our first cups fairly quickly and were looking forward to this magical endless pot of coffee to be delivered. So we waited, and waited and watched our server refill other customers coffee without even glancing in our direction. After 20 minutes of waiting with no acknowledgment let alone coffee or food, (really, how long does it take to cook eggs and toast), we became frustrated and left after offering to pay for our single cups of coffee.

The server gave no apologies and blamed the absence of coffee on another server. She then went on to basically whine that other tables were complaining too, (we noticed a customer carrying a plate of food towards the kitchen prior which we assumed was related).

So none the less, it was not a pleasant experience. And to top it off, my parents had an almost identical experience a week or two previous but they stayed around long enough to get their food which apparently was unappealing at best.

We gave them a second chance for the benefit of doubt and now we will not be returning. I highly discourage anyone from eating here unless you're looking for disappointment. Our lesson learned was for a quick simple breakfast in Sackville stick to good old BK, plus their new coffee is pretty good too.

My family ate there when it first opened, it was very busy, but very good. We enjoyed our meal very much. And the chick off of BT stopped by our table to see how our meal was. Her brother owns the place. I didn't mind it ther, but I don't drink coffee and my hubby had beer. That's just my 2 cents

Maybe it's just a breakfast thing with them. I'll consider a lunch or dinner sometime.
