Cloverfield - Love it? Hate it?

Personally, I really liked it. Granted, I have seen better movies but I really liked the way this one was filmed. Kinda-sorta like The Blair Witch Project - but not. Anyone who has seen the movie will understand.

It reminded me of an American version of Godzilla. And to all the people who thinks it ended badly - it was filmed in first person - how else would it end?!? Possible sequel? Let's hope so!

The only thing that kind of bothered me was the whole 9/11 feeling when the building crumbled like the Twin Towers. I didn't lose a loved one in 9/11 and it made me feel uncomfortable so I can just imagine how someone who did lose a loved one would feel watching this.

Overall, I liked the concept and the plot. Now I'll just sit back and wait for the sequel.

Watched this movie, loved it! I also loved the Blair Witch movie too.

Dh not did not like this movie, he also thought the TBWP sucked..lol

I thought it was effin great too.
I was irritated by the acting of the main character, that completely fake feeling you get from him when he's trying to convey a sense of urgency needing to get to his ex-g/f, but everything else was great.

As for the twin towers thing...not sure I follow you.
Buildings look like that when they fall down, regardless of planned work or terrorism.
It looks like a big monster knocked down a building...and nothing more.

Anyone that hasn't watched it yet should.
Cause I said so...

Oh yeah... I do realize this, however, because the scene was set in NY - buildings were crumbling. It was just the first thing that occured to me while watching the buildings fall and the dust/debris race up the streets. Reminded me of watching the footage from 9-11. That's all.

Aside from that, I really liked this movie.
