Default Guitar Solo

I think quite possibly the best guitar solo I've ever heard is the outro from Pink Floyd's "comfortably numb".
Makes me feel happy in the pants every time I hear it.

I prefer the original, although I wish it was like a 6 minute solo.
And this dueling guitars solo is pretty good.
Dude on the left totally looks like he's having an orgasm while playing.
I guess I might too if I was that good.

i've always liked David Gilmours style of playing. the first solo is pretty nice as well. the phrasing is perfect and
not too busy. I was in a band when i was younger and we used to rock out on Comfortably Numb. we made it a lot
heavier. The solo from Hotel California works for me as well.

Lead Guitarist's voice sounds more like David Gilmour than his guitar does!!
"Comfortably Numb" will only ever be a Pink Floyd tune!

I haven't heard the original enough to really give it credit, but I really like the Dream Theater version.

Holy Crap, the way he like conjures sound out of the guitar at the ~3min mark...amazing.
And if that was as good to watch as it was to do, he should totally have a smoke after that.

I wish I could play like this. Well, like John Petrucci in general. I had a hard time picking a good example.

Wow...that almost made me angry.
That band sounds so good, but the lead singer grates on my nerves.
The rest of the band seemed to have so much talent and that asswipe went and put his crappy talentless voice over all that good music...

He was MUCH better on their older albums (early 90's), but his ability is rapidly fading. Also, on the album version of that song, they had a different singer.
