You should start your own cleaning business. My friend did it, and it took about 6 months to a year but her business is booming and she has had to take on a couple people to help her! There seems to be a lot of business out there right now for this type of thing.

Neither did she really. She was on social assistance at the time. She did have a car though which made things easier for her to get around. She copied a bunch of flyers, got a few friends together, went to different areas and put them in doorways (it was a days work). She got a few calls that way and then by word of mouth and putting a few ads on mailboxes and local classified websites she was on her way. She had no problem getting $20 an hour from people.
She did have to pay I think $30 to register her company's name and I think you have to pay that every year. She didn't really have to put that much out to start. She did buy one of those magnet advertising signs for the side of her car too. |

cool! i'll keep that in mind..although, i can't really put a magnet on my car..it's an import if you can see in my pic lmao!

IMO, that was an idiotic thing to say! 
Things haven't changed at all. People on social assistance still receive barely anything to live on for the month and she struggled after leaving an abusive relationship with her two children.
She didn't have a car BECAUSE she was on social assistance! She had a car before she was on it and that's pretty much all she had when she left.
So I guess you might as well keep your job! |
