Saying to yourself that you're making an "attempt" isn't a great start. You have to believe that you're going to quit. Remember that the first week is always teh hardest and to try to avoid those things that you relate to smoking during that first week, e.g., coffee, drinking.

I tried Zyban a few years ago....for the 3 months I was taking it I didn't smoke, but within 24hrs of being off it, I wanted to smoke again. I lasted another 2 days without it then started smoking again. It does work, but if you get the urge again after you stop using it, get right back on it. It was new when I tried it and I was under the understanding that you could not take it more than 3 months.

All my friends told me to take this and take that blah blah blah
I had one smoke left in a pack and told myself.. this is it.. fuck this bullshit!
Its been 6.5 weeks!
I have had the odd urge when I have a few brew, but I had one smoke the other night and felt soo sick afterwards.. I knew I had succeeded!
Stick with it!

Zyban worked miracles for me completely takes away the craving and makes cigs gross as hell and its cheap/free with insurance. but i was dumb and started back up a couple times and the more i took zyban the less it works with more side effects. take zyban for 3 months and stop for good!! dont make my mistake lol you will be amazed with this stuff! hope this helps.

i've used Zyban. worked great for me. but i didn't stop the other things that i liked with smokes like coffee, tea, drnking. i felt if i had to change tose habits smoking would still have control over me. so when i craved a smoke i would get a coffee, or have another tea or drink another drink. it's beed 5 or 6 years for me now... stopped counting. on of the biggest that trigger me wanting a smoke was walking outside a building....since you can not smoke in them it was the first thing i did when i came out!

That's soooo true about walking outside. I find it's hard sitting in traffic or after eating. Those are the times I have a hard time with.
You're right JeepGirl, people are assholes!!
You can go on I think it's Capital Health Website and they have a smoking cesation group or they also have acupuncture as well. You might want to check that out.
Of course, I'm still smoking, quit a few times every time on the patch...once for 6 months and I only used the patch for 2 days then just quit! I have to feel like it's the right time though. It's difficult I know. I am thinking about trying again and checking out the group.
