Default Contacts...

I wear contact lenses (bi-weekly wear) and I always ordered from Shorneys which changed names to Shopper's Optical and now they've changed their name again to jeez I can't even remember they've changed it so many friggin times but anyway, now they make you pay for the contacts up front before ordering (I've been a customer for YEARS and have never ordered them and not taken them!) AND they went up like $20 from the last time.

I've decided to buy them elsewhere. I'm wondering if any of you wear contacts, the location you buy them from and what you pay for a comparable brand. I wear the disposable bi-weeklys and they are quite breathable. I don't think they are for overnight wear.

Thanks for any information you might have for me!

I wear monthly disposables, which I purchase from Vogue Optical. They are Optix 2 by CIBA Vision and they meant to last 18 hours and I absolutely love them. I get a 6 months supply for $80. Without a medical plan, now that I have Blue Cross I probably won't be paying that much.
I have never actually tried buying from any other store but when I did call around I found Vogue to be the better buy, but keep in mind I live in Truro.

The new name is Pearle Vision, and when I contacted the Truro store they told me they were no longer doing contact lenses.

Hope this helps!

Ha, that's the name!! I paid $69 for the same contacts that you have at Pearle. I think I'm going to go online and order them that way or at least check out the prices. Might be cheaper, who knows?
