i was wondering as well cause i would like to have it done and i was wondering what the success rate is.
and if it does not work, is the process reversible or do we get screwed with night blindness?

Not sure about reversing it, but I have a lot of buddies at work who had the surgery and they were extremely happy with it! One of my friends got the surgery done for like 490 an eye! She had to pay for appts too, but it was considerably less than I would pay. Someone who has a high prescription it would cost more like $4000. I called about the $490 an eye and they couldn't do it for me. A couple of my friends got financing through the eye surgery office and pay for it monthly.
I know of one man that it worked for a short time and then his sight went back quite quickly. He was offered the surgery again at no charge. Not sure how he made out after the second.
I have heard horror stories but not from anyone I know personally. You should really research all the places as some do the surgery differently than others. I have been told it's a bit painful at first, but worth it.

Well yes, I suppose I am. However, stating the truth and having manors, is two different things.

I got mine done about 8 years ago this month and honestley it was the best money I ever spent on anything in my life. I couldn't wear contact and play a lot of sports and it really helped. I got it done in the early stages of laser eye surgery in NS (even thought i actually got it done in Ottawa due to wait times) by a company called Laser Vision Canada i think.. they had offices in Hlaifax, Ottawa, Vancouver and a few other major citys.
A bunch (8 or 9 people) from work got theirs done at Nova and all had great results.. they paid a lot more then I did but my suggestion is to make appointment and go get tested to see if you can get it done as some people do not have enough corneal (sp) tissue layers to have the surgery.
