Proactiv
I ordered Proactiv a few weeks ago, and I got it in the mail on Thursday afternoon. It was great, it made my skin soft, but a few days later, I can barely open my mouth because the skin around it is so dry. Itchy, tight, and flaky.. Not exactly what I want my skin to look like. The drier it got, the more lotion I put on - until I realized their "lotion" is actually a drying agent. So it wasn't helping, it was making it worse! At least I got that figured out. Otherwise, I'm really excited that this might actually clear up my skin.. I guess we'll see.
Anyone else try Proactiv, or anything else?
On a side, the Clinique 3-step system does NOT work!!

I used proactive last year and loved it. I never had an acne problems until I became an adult, then I broke out like a teenager. My problem is that I can't leave the zits alone and end up with red dots everywhere on my face. The proactive even cleared them up. I didn't get anymore after that cause of the cost, but I do plan on buying it again real soon, (once again I'm being to break out like a teenager) I was telling my husband that the other night.
It does dry your skin out, mine was dry for a bit, but after abit it was nice and smooth. You just gotta get use to it.

Heather, how long were you using the three step? I tried EVERYTHING pretty much expect Proactiv and nothing ever worked. I bought the three step last christmas and I started using it, they told me that my skin would get worst before it got better. And it sure did! Anyway, I didn't actually see any results for about 6 months and now a year later my skin is completely clear.**KNOCK ON WOOD** but the fact that I started drinking tons of water also helps the fact. Well at least that is what I think, anyway, I really hope Proactiv works for ya because I how upsetting it is to have acne.

I gave it about 3-4 months before I switched to Proactiv. I liked the cleaser, but the toner and lotion didn't seem to be beneficial to my skin. It got worse, then better, then worse, then back to normal.
I need to start drinking a lot of water again. That definitely helps.

Yah, I was about to give it up after using it for 4-5 months but I decided to stick with it and I am really happy that I did. What number are you using? What cleanser were you using, the acne solution or the soap?

I use Proactiv and LOVE IT!! I only use a bit of the lotion and use my regular Olay moisturizer. Also, if you haven't tried it already, get their Refining Mask - its one of my can't-live-without things.
