##'s are good, MORE, MORE, MORE!!
I need more RAM and maybe a better CPU (Intel Celeron 2.4ghz in it) in my second system to run a CSS Server. Uped it Video Card to a ATI All-In-Wounder 9800 PRO 128mb AGP (My system old one, i got a newer AIW 9800)

Hey! I came up with this idea first, way back in "Favorite place to eat."
As of now, who would be interested in going to a NS4Sale LAN party? Just curious, out of our 140 members.
We'd need to come up with a good ethernet switch as well, and a good location (a hall or something). Food...so much planning, so even at this point suggestions are welcome.
Along with CS:S, I think Battlefield 2 would in the list of games to be played.

I got BF2 and BF2:SP but yea it would take planning, and would probly require people to pay to get in (to pay for the location, etc).
Then theres transportation for the vechicalless.

Well yeah, there'd be a fee ($5-$10, depending on the people?). The only foreseeable costs at the moment are the location rental (read below), and food costs.
We could probably get sponsors like Thermaltake and such as well, and that'll cover prizes.
I don't think transportation for the vehicleless would be too much of a problem, I'm sure there'd be someone willing to give someone else a lift.
As far as location, unless someone knows someone who'd let us have a place for the day, we'd need somewhere. Any suggestions on where at? It'd need to be a relatively big area, and a place served by Eastlink would probably be a bonus (I could bring a cable modem so any 'unpatched' people could get patches).
We need more input here .

im looking at getting a Dual, 800mhz Xeon Processors, 1 GB ram server. Should run a CSS server. If i can get it, ill setup and do player tests online, 20, 32, 50, 64+
It will probly be running on a Window 2000 Pro OS

Well, FTP would be good; aside from having a game server, a file server to people can swap games/software would be nice. I might do that myself, since I have a large FTP as it is.
