Being someone that has been dealing in jewelery for a long long time, you would be looking at roughly 3-6 dollars a gram on 10-14k.

Labour costs is what throws the price of jewelery up..

Value of your chain would be between $100 - $200 in a used market.

Right now one gram of gold Canadian is going for $26, but you would probably only get 7$-10$per gram because yours is only 10k-14k and it is used. And that price is for someone who doesn’t know how much gold is. I personally would only give you about $5 per gram.

At a "Retail outlet" a "Pawn Shop" for all the tards to buy!

That Chain is worth 100 bucks.

I purchased a huge Gold bracelet @ 18k and 66.6 Grams for $4 a gram.

Buddy wanted $600 for it, he got $265!

I don;t want to give the inpression I'm "Shtting" on your thread/post. But this is what the value of the gold is.

Thats why I HATE seeing people go to jewelery stores and pay 1000's of dollars for shit that is worth 1/10th the inflated retail price. But.. Rent and payroll is due.. plus a profit somewhere in there..

I agree with Solutions, people pay way too much for this stuff, you can bet the fellow at the pawn shop (if he is good at his job) paid no where near his asking price!

Well if you are referring to me as "broke" and wanting your chain for nothing is a bold statement.

I'm simply telling you what it is worth. I'm not interested in purchasing the chain as I have a serious one myself.

trust me.. I know what I'm talking about! $150 MAX!

Merry Christmas!

First, let me say nice looking chain however, I would never pay that much for any type of jewelry, but than again I happen to live on the more practical side of life, especially with a child and several dogs.

The price you think its worth based off your sightings of other items will not play a role here, you will only get what the people here think its worth. And if they are telling you they believe its only worth $100 - $200 at the most, than chances are they are not trying to scam you, but quite possibly stop you from scamming someone else.

When you put an item up for sale on a PUBLIC classifieds site, you had best be prepared for some sort of feedback. Whether you like it or not, so chill out!!

Advice and opinions are just that -- advice and opinions. Just because they don't match yours doesn't mean you need to be rude about it. Don't like what you are reading then IGNORE it.

Merry Christmas and have a great day

Then try to get more.. I doubt you will have any chance of doing so unless selling to some 18 year old that wants a "big" looking chain.

if it was 18-23k, I could understand $250+, but @ 9k-14k, this chain is worth $125.00

Sorry for giving my 2cents.. but I used to trade in gold, silver, diamonds and semi-precious stones. I'm telling you what I KNOW this chain is worth!

You are charging an inflated retail price.

Just keep it on your neck!
