Anyone know where I can find a used 360 hard drive working or not. Really just need the shell and connectors as I can put my own drive in it. Could do it without just not comfortable solidering on the 360. Any help would be good.

how do you add your own hdd, will it work for downloaded content, any chance on posting a tutorial? i have been looking for a 360 hdd forever, called all the ebgames today actually, and really dont wanna pay full price

dude, you can't put a larger third-party hard drive in the 360, the drive's bios is signed with a key by microsoft. if you don't have a signed drive it will not work with your system, plus you'll get banned from live if you are connected.

have to get the hddss.bin from a torrent site get a wd bevs 2.5 hard drive. Flash it and put it in the old case. Just need a way to interface it with out solidering. And no you won't get banned because ms doesn't know it's a hacked drive as it's signed just the way real ones are. Do some research. Xbox scene.com great place. The specailist developed a hack.

Thats what I was thinking. 130 for 20gb when I can get a 120gb wd bevs drive for 65 at canadacomputers.com. Just need to find a dead drive for a cheap price so I can open it and use the case and interface.
