Well said dude. People like this build their palace of fortune atop the crushed hopes and dreams of children, using their tears as mortar.

I agree with everyone else. My two children have asked for a Wii but I will not pay someone $475 for something that is worth about $310 tax in. If I do not find one by Christmas I will have to explain that there were too many people asking for one and we will get one in the new year when they are available.

Osiris, I wouldn't pay that much for one either no matter how badly they wanted it. After Christmas you shouldn't have a problem getting one. In fact, they might even be cheaper than the MRP. I hope you can get one though before Christmas Eve!! Good luck!

I'm not trying to make money off a kids misery; I'm trying to help a parent who desperately wants one to delight their child at Christmas and can't find one anywhere. I'm providing a service, and services trend to cost you know
I'm not completely unreasonable; I've lowered my price to $400, thats only about 90 more than at a store (after tax)
First $400 takes it.

the same consumerism that drives people to find these for xmas for their kids is no different than the consumerism of wanting to sell it for a profit....
some want it for their kids, some want it to make money off of. what's the difference really? two valid reasons for wanting to buy a wii this year.
if xmas is REALLY about togetherness and happiness, your children should understand that like all good things, they are worth waiting for.
if you can't have the must have gift this year, tough. if you don't want to pay extra for it too bad.
you are paying for a luxury item at a luxury price.
last time i checked, we are encouraged to engage in a free market of buying at whatever price we want and selling at any price we want.
if that wasn't the case, sites like this wouldn't even exist.

Sold for $400 - to a guy who wanted one badly as a Christmas gift for his 2 teenage sons. He left his Xmas shopping to the last minute, and of course "the Wii's aren't easy for an 8 to 5 working guy to come by" to use his words. He was more than happy to get one at $400 and not have to miss work to stand in line in the hopes of getting one.
So I feel pretty good about the sale, and I made almost $100 in the process.
Just thought I'd add the details of the buyer since there's been some discussion on here and another thread.
