true true. didn't really expect to get shit on so much i guess. if i offended anyone sorry. yes i was trying to make a little extra cash for christmas. i'm not gonna lie. and yes i did make enough so that it made it worth my while.
if some kid's dad finds it easier to give me some extra work, than to wake up at the ass crack of dawn for only the slight chance of getting a wii(most likely not). then yes i will capitalize on that so i CAN afford to buy my son a few nicer gifts this year.

Well thankfully we found one today and our children will be happy on Christmas Day. We paid just under $280 tax in at the store so anyone still looking good luck and keep up the search. There are a few out there if you are lucky enough to find them.

People who ts on this just don't understand consumerism. You're exercising your rights and providing a service. Just put it on ebay where you can make more money and won't have to listen to these idiots whine. Just don't let it go for over 500 or you'll pay a ton of fees.

Yes, what this forum lacks is and understanding in "consumerism".
Lets all learn:
1. a modern movement for the protection of the consumer against useless, inferior, or dangerous products, misleading advertising, unfair pricing, etc.
2. the concept that an ever-expanding consumption of goods is advantageous to the economy.
3. the fact or practice of an increasing consumption of goods: a critic of American consumerism.
Holy shit!
I mean srsly, FUCK ME?
Its almost like the word "consumerism" doesn't mean price gouging!?!?!
THATS CRAZY!!!
Where'd you learn ...well, whatever it is you claim to know?
American television?
Did Opera tell you it was cool to gouge people?
Eat my ass.
And that applies to anyone that thinks I'M the dick for knocking this bullshit.
Retards.

Dunno why you believe this to be directed at you omnistatic, I have no beef with you.
On the other hand, how to either of those other definitions fit with the idea that people should be free to gouge like a motherfucker?
Read and re-read them a few times...still not seeing it.

as i am the one who has mentioned consumerism, and i don't really see it mentioned anywhere else...
i'm not saying that any of those definitions fit the model of being able to gouge people. i merely brought up the fact that people are obsessed with buying and selling things, and with that comes personal greed and selfishness.
While not outright defending his actions, he has just as much stake into buying a wii as anyone else.
I just find it silly to personally attack someone trying to sell something for personal profit, it is no different than futureshop or any other big box store that gouges people on audio cables, batteries, electronics, TVs and pretty much everything else.
The world doesn't end for children if they don't get a wii for xmas.
sorry for the confusion.
I am vocal in my opinions and stand by them, just as i expect anyone else to.

un fair pricing? isn't that what the new units are selling for now, an unfair price. last year the ps3's were like $750, now they are $400 or $500 depending if you want a big hard drive or not. and when new units come out ( like a ps4 ) the ps3's will be selling for $130 like the ps2's are now. it's the same with all technology over priced when it first comes out, but if you want it " now " you gotta pay the big bucks.

So why is it that people don't blink an eye when it comes to ticket scalpers?
Probably because we've all just accepted and learned that scalpers are common, especially when its a hot concert and there's limited seating. Doesn't mean we like it, but we know its there and it can be used as a last resort.
Similar thing here with the Wii's; hot item in a lot of demand, and there's a supply shortage. People see an opportunity to make some cash. Does it mean we have to like it? No. But just accept it and move on. Some people know its there and use it as a last resort.
How about the prices of 8800GT's? They were selling way above MSRP because the demand was greater than the supply. But I guess thats okay because its suppliers and retailers doing the "gouging".

Look....it's just morally wrong. I tried it once thinking the same as you (how I could use the extra money and someone desperate to make their kid happy would pay it). However, my conscience got the best of me (maybe because I have children myself) and I ended up giving the tickets to someone for the same price I paid because I felt just horrible about it. In my heart I knew it wasn't right.
There might not be a "supply shortage" if there weren't people out there like you who buy things at MRP just to make a profit off of someone.
I just wanted to make my opinion clear. I personally don't think it's right to take advantage of people.
