Walmart Photo Studio
Getting our pics done there in November, I am sure it wont be the best quality but it's pretty cheap 19.95 and you get all kinds of pics.. Anyone have any experience with these guys?

Hey there,
A few years back my mom, dad and me went and got our pics done at Sears and they didnt turn out too bad but they were really expensive. So when grad time came I didnt want them to spend a shit load on the pics that you can buy at school so we just went to Walmart and got them done. They did turn out pretty good actually ( I didn't like what I looked like mind you LOL But the quality was just as good if not better than Sears). I would reccommend going there just because its so cheap for the quality that you get. Let us know how they turned out!!!

I've taken my girls to Walmart in Bayers Lake (not sure if they still have a photo studio) as well as Joe Howe. Personally I preferred Bayers Lake, the woman there was great with the girls I even called to tell the manager how great she was.

The pics aren't as great as what you may take but not everyone can afford to have a photographer take their pictures. However if your rates are comparable to Walmart/Superstore, I'm definatley interested.

Next to nothing - there's no way a professional photograper could compete! Not fair really, because the pics are alright, but I found some were off centre and IMO a professional would have not been happy with that. However, it's quick and cheap and the latter is what draws people I think.

No way we can compete? Well I suppose on price alone no. We offer a different quality to a different type of client. One that cares about quality more than the price. I won't work with price shoppers, in fact I send them to wal-mart lol.
Trust me when I say it's fair, because really wal-mart & similar can keep those clients! I've had a few book me that had some work done at wal-mart and superstore in the past but thought they lacked something so they wanted to try another approach. They're now repeat customers who don't blink at the higher price, because they're getting something they don't at those places. No offense to those that are happy with 'alright' and 'good enough'. But even if I weren't in the industry I would never settle for those descriptions when preserving my family memories. The cookie-cutter wal-mart approach is ok for some, and well some people just literally can't afford the other options, and that's ok too. But for all the folks that get fairly regular pictures of their children taken etc, think about setting aside some extra $ and booking a pro once or twice. I have a hard time believing that you won't find it's worth the extra $.

Mosher, do you take pictures for weddings? My friend is getting married in Aug. and she is looking for a photographer who isn't going to cost an arm and a leg. If you don't do them, do you know anyone else that does?

Got my little fellas pics done at WalMart, cheap, but not of great quality, however the service is great, that's why I keep going back. Sears, however I here is awesome but expensive. As well with WalMart lots of pics for a great price, totally affordable!!!!!! Go for it!!

I had some of my son taken at Sears and, uhm, they were nice, but not great and definitely looked like they were taken at a department store. Just before xmas I took him again, but this time to a professional and it wasn't cheap, but damn! The pictures were awesome. Literally magazine quality. The photog spent 2 hours w/ us snapping upwards of 400 pics and of that 400, we had her print up 25. Worth every penny going to the professional. Trust me, squirrel away some cash and go, you'll never be disappointed.
