Just went through this on this site.... if you copy/paste the URL, and then use the "hyperlink" function (at the top of the reply box) to insert it into the post, the highlighted portion you'll see in the post box is what you'll see as the link in your post. Change it to read whatever you want, and voila!!!! No more long hyperlinks!!!

Well guess what! For the next two days people can buy a "Brand New Sealed in The Box" one from Future Shop for LESS than what your asking for yours!

So... for the next two days, you can shove that monitor up YOUR ass.

Not only that, after the sale is over, I'd still pay the extra $14 dollars and buy it from FS.

Nukkus, prices of computers and electronics can drastically go down in price not long after it first came out. Smart people will go and buy a new one if it costs just as much or less than a used one. It's pretty obvious. You have to count your losses, sell it for a lot less, and move on. It's the way electronics are.

Not that I want to stir this shit up more than it already is, but unless you have a registered business (and registered HST number) you can't pass on the TAX.
Even if it was brand new, its being re-sold so it is now "used".
The state of the world, or at least as far as free commerce goes, states that because it is used its maximum value is 2/3 of its original price, sans tax, with the exception of collectibles.
As the item is available new for $170, the maximum price anybody would expect to pay for a "used" unit, in perfect condition (which I assume is the case since you listed it as "mint") is $113.35.
If you do have a business, and registered HST number, feel free to collect a total of $129 for it.

I could be wrong.
But I'm not.
Go ahead and check my arithmetic (its not "math").

We're just trying to prevent people from being ripped off, that's all.

Well, um, yes?

You claim your selling this because it isn't compatible to what you need, correct?

So, because you didn't research what you were buying before you bought it and your dumb ass ended up with something you can't use, you feel the need to rip someone else off?

You, and I mean this with the utmost sincerity, are an asshole.

I love it when peoples true colors shine down upon us.

How exactly are you getting ripped off?

You posted a price that nobody in their right mind would have paid. It could have sat here without a sale, but somebody let you know that it was way overpriced for what the market would bear (capitalism at it's best).

Used computer hardware is extremely hard to turn over at a decent price. The best a person can normally expect to get is 60 - 75% of current value, and getting 75% would be dependant on finding somebody who was looking for exactly what you have to sell.

The only time you're going to get even 85% of current value is if it's brand new and you just don't want to pay a re-stocking fee.

It sucks that you can't turn back time to get close to what you paid for the monitor.... you should have returned it immediately when you found it wouldn't do what you needed it to do. That said.... don't get all defensive if somebody points out that they can pick up the same unit brand new for less than you have it up for.
