My brother is moving out west in January and is thinking about selling his gaming PC for a more portable laptop, but isn't totally sure yet.

Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
GeFORCE 6800 GS videocard with 256 mb RAM
120 Gig HD & 40 Gig HD = 160 Gigs
1.5 Gigs of RAM
19" SyncMaster 950b Monitor
Soundblaster Live! 24-bit Edition
Two 10/100 Network Cards
LG DVD Burner / Rewriter (also burns CDs)

You can play:
Oblivion, Half Life 2, Doom 3, NHL 2007, and NBA Live 2007
all with the settings maxed out

He's asking $850, but would probably trade for a decent laptop.

Is the monitor a LCD, or CRT?

I googled it, and I found and LCD and CRT version with the same name.

I'm assuming it is a CRT if you didn't mention anything, just curious.

yes, it's definitely a CRT. great colour, especially when you crank the saturation on the nVidia card.
