I have one in my closet that I'd also like to sell. If Eastlink wanted it back, they should have asked for it 4 years ago when I cancelled my account with them.

it's possible his arn't Eastlink. you can buy them but I wouldn't see why as Eastlink won't hook them up if they're not from them. Out here in AB, you have to buy your modems for $25 but then you own them. Shaw will hook up ones that you buy elsewhere but only offer tech support for the ones you buy off them.

already tried once before. When you ask to hook it up they ask for the serial number, when you provide it they will tell you that the unit is owned by them and will ask for it back. It's virtually useless unless you plan to sue it for parts, hack etc. Sorry to ruin your thread.
