I am thinking about selling my main rig off and starting from scratch. So I am just lookin for some in put of what I might get for my compete rig or just the tower.
If you give prices please state if complete or just the tower.
This is also just price checking so please do not make offers or ask me if I will part it out.

i'd say $650-$700 for just the tower?

hmmm dont know if it is just me but that seems a little low, I price checked and tried to keep things as local as possible and all prices that I found I added the 14% taxes.
here is what I cam up with...

For a grand total of $1824 taxes inand from what I seen you take about 30% off the total for is used gear so it would be about $1275.This sound about right ?

You'll never get that for it in the real world

Some folks say to drop the price by 30% before taxes added in but besides that some things just aren't worth what they may seem. for example that Opteron chip for $283 is insane when you can buy a new Core 2 Duo that would crush 2 of them for near the same price, or even a new X2 4200 - 4400+ dual core for the same price. Yes they are $283 to run and buy one new but I can also buy a NEW Radeon 9500 Pro agp card for $272.46 plus tax from Ncix.... http://search.ncix.com/displayproduc...anufacture=ATI see what I am getting at? Likewise with your 7600GT, mainboard and case. I bought my Tsunami Dream for $60 used in mint condition and I've bought literally dozens of used 939 mobo's including A8N-E's for $50 a pop. Motherboards especially don't hold a very good resale value particularly when it's old technology = 939. I just sold a platinum kit of ram for $120, DanDaMan has a 2gb kit of XTC up for $200.

IMO the $650 - 700 for the tower is even a bit on the generous side

Over $230 for a 7600, now that's a joke...

Got my 7950GT off of Biron for $225 in mint condition...

the main problem here is that the CPU/Mobo/RAM is not a current platform. if you would have sold it before AM2 came out then you could ask for more.
