I think the Ignorant fools and unnamed idiots would agree this is a much better system and would out preform the one you have listed and it's only $70 more.. but Faster Ram and CPU and atleast 2 years warranty on everything would prob not be worth it..
|
The only advantage it has over mine is the processor, which isn't seventy-two dollars more, but fourty-two. But guess what? For fifty-five dollars more you can get a 4600+...What's your point? As for warranty, the buyer can have my receipt if he or she would like.

Twenty percent from the total I accumulated is $924.77. It's not a whole lot less than what I asked.

You know it's funny your making comments on people replying to your post when you did the excat same thing on a WII post yesterday.. you thought it was overpriced and in the valley.
As for the "What's your point?" comment if you would read what i put it's the combines parts BRAND NEW plus has FASTER RAM DDR2 and a FASTER CPU then what you posted for just $70 more. As for the advantage, in most benchmarks the x1950 Pro beats the 7900 GT OC or is slightly slower.. nothing drastic.. and the HD has a 5 year man warranty instead of 3 or less like your WD.

shipping from BC was about 100 dollars.
1069 for a better PC..... and thats just without doing research...... I spend days finding deals when spending big money and would pay less or get more of a PC....
oh and normally a place like greenlyph doesn't change an install fee, they do the whole customer service thing and you just install windows...
option 2 is buy from redneck and get twice the deal, continuing service for a week or so if all goes well and a tested computer for a damn good price.

My post on the Wii is completely different. I was going to purchase it until I saw it was in the Valley. I wasn't taking the time out of my day to spoil someone else's business, unlike you. And I'm only trying to settle a fair price, unlike that individual who was attempting to profit drastically off of the Wii (mind you, I don't think there is anything wrong with that). And whether or not you think the price is fair or not, there's no question it doesn't warrant arrogant and rude remarks of the likes of sarcastically telling me "good luck" without any intention but to spite me and my proposition. Do you go stand outside Superstore and tell customers walking in apples are on sale at Sobey's? Probably not.

My orginal post was "Good Luck" for the simple reason I think (and I am not the only one on this board) that thinks your over priced on your system. My opion on this is because I have been very active on this board and have view most posts and I have seen a lot better systems for a couple of hundred less. If you sell it for $950 congrats.. you prob only lost a bit from when you first bought the thing but like most things you buy as the orinigal owner they lose value the momment they leave the store or parking lot.
I was not insulting you just saying good luck.. maybe a bit sarcastic but not insulting you in anyway.. your response to me and other was to insult and make ignorant remarks saying we don't know anyhting about pricing.. we proved you wrong and yet you still stick to your guns. As for "spoiling your business" you did that by putting up that price on this board.. had you placed it on Kijiji or something you would prob get $900 for it no problem but the members of this board know the computer scene and what things are worth.. that is why I said Good Luck

Well, Joeboy, I had to respond, since I know the post was directed to me...lol...you're right, I must be an idiot who doesn't know what he's talkin' about. After all, I've only worked with comps for about 20 years, but you obviously know better. By your own post, total savings are 100.00 from the NEW pricing, with would be with full warranties, and unused. Total savings: less than the tax. Also, the processor you listed in better, and I am going to assume fatser RAM timings since you posted no info on anything. Here is a truer list for retail pricing.
NIKAO Bio-II (Black w/ Silver) Gaming Case w/450 P.S. w/ Front USB & Audio-67.00(power supply is included, you mention nothing a separate power supply purchase)
WD Caviar SATA-II 1600JS 160GB 7200RPM 8MB U300 3YR MFG / (1YR MB)-77.00
Pioneer (Black) 111D 16X DVD±RW DUAL LAYER OEM w/o Software (1YR MB)-42.00
ASRock AM2NF6G-VSTA GF6100-256mb 4x DDR2 2PCI 1PCIe16X/ 1xIDE/ 2xSATA2 RAID / LAN (1YR MB)-88.00
*AMD - Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core (3800+) 2.0 GHz, S-939 - L2 1MB, Retail Box (ADA3800BVBOX)-218.00
BFG 7900GT OC 475Mhz/1.36GHz 256MB PCIe 256-bit 2xDVI HDTV (MFG Lifetime) (+ $40 Mail-in Rebate)-358.00( also notice that it includes a 40.00 rebate as well as a new purchase)
OCZ Value 1024MB PC5400 667MHz DDR2 Memory (Lifetime)-$138.00
Total price(assembly not included, most can do by themselves)-948.00( including taxes, 1080.72)
This includes the same products(outside of RAM) that you listed in your post. So savings are just the taxes. Plus, full warranties with everything, are no parts are used. 20 percent, as Elisha noted, would be off the retail price(it's used, you're going to eat the tax, sorry), would be in the 760 range. And as you'll note, my pricing, for everything(after rebate) you listed is 2.00 less than what you priced at, and new. You are assuming that someone may not know their info. Don't. As bossman noted, most people on this site and pretty comp-savvy. Not meant to burn your post, we are trying to point out that the price is simply way too high for a used system. And the RAM was 35.00 more than your price, which would lower it to 1040.82 as a NEW purchase. Total savings of 90.00 for a used system. That would be a retail price if 913.00 plus taxes. Not much of a deal. Always better to stay quiet and have people think you are an idiot, than open your mouth and prove them right. Enough said.

Yes, so much of an idiot, in fact, he misquotes the proverb he so desperately needed to enforce his petty point.

LoL....well, you must be right...I am assume you're what, an ignorant teen? I really neither need to prove, or wish to prove anything to you. Point is, price is too high for a system used, and you post nothing for details or any info on parts, etc. Also like you don't argue any of the prices. Good luck. I know my info, you don't. Just making a point in response to attacks by you. Also never mentioned purchase date, or whether the warranties ARE transferable, not always the case.

You know your info, I don't? Despite this twenty year experience you boast, you refer to Mysterybyte.com - an establishment that's existed only a few years - over your prideful knowledge of the field that's spanned over twenty years (twenty years ladies and gentlemen! Give this man an award -- or a life!). -- solely to prove me wrong, all the while claiming you have no needing or wanting to prove me wrong. I believe you. Clearly you feel compelled to prove me wrong, and that's just how pathetic you are. You can call me an ignorant teen, if you like; however, however old you fancy yourself and consider a wise(r) age only distances yourself all the further from the the small, single-digited age you actually act. Congratulations, you've passed kindergarten. You can now go argue with a five year old over how much better your fingerpainting is. Nobody's going to care.

Mysterybyte simply was used as a reference point for product pricing, as they had many of the same components you had listed. Launching personal attacks for having my own opinion...hmmm, now that just goes to show how ignorant an individual you are. If it would make you any happier, I'd be more than glad to show you a better system, and for less money. But you're an idiot, I am not, now go drop down a well, or something else useful to the rest of society.
Have a great day, Tool....

I don't want to make any enemies here. But the "Good Luck" comment was in a way a sarcastic post for "This is over priced, don't buy it." In my opinion if you have a problem with a price, pm the person. He could have lowered it without all this heated debating and had a possiblilty of selling it. Now this thread is destroyed and everyone is just being a dick about everything they can pick out of each others replies. I think its time this thread is closed, or all posts excluding the initial systems specs should be deleted.

I think the heated debate is good. It stops anybody that doesn't know a lot about computers from getting ripped off.
The fact that he advertised this system as a "Gaming Rig" is what has me baffled. With an Asrock MB and only 1 gb of ram, this is hardly going to perform well with intense games.
Anyhow, I do agree that this is over priced and would highly suggest that anyone looking for a computer to check around the board for much better configured systems for less money.
