Sad LF:Cheap PCI-e Video Card

Hi ya'll,

I'm trying to trouble shoot my PC and I need a cheap PCI-e card to see if my problem in in fact my graphics card.If I had on board video it wouldn't be a problem.
See I went away on vacation and unplugged everything and upon returning when I plugged in my power bar and fired up my machine it booted fine and my speakers were on so I heard the welcome chime on XP but I have no display.
I have already eliminated the display by testing on other devices so now the next logical step would be the video card I guess.
I have no idea how to test for power from the Power Supply lead but the fan is spinning as normal on my 7800 GT.
The only other thing I can think of is the PCI-e slot on the main board failed in some way.

So if anyone even has a PCI-e card they still want but can lend or rent lol it to me to confirm if it's the card.

I guess maybe what I could do also is take my card somewhere to see if it works in another machine.

Anyway anything to help me out would be appreciated folks.

I think the card is shot.. I'll give ya 20 bucks for it..Lol
I would first go buy a power supply tester and see if your getting the proper voltage thru the lead connecting to your video card, you may be getting enough juice to power the fan but not the card. They are under $30 and are great to have.. just make sure you get one that has the LCD to display the voltage and tests all your connectors.. like this one

Then again borrowing a video card costs you nothing if you have a friend to lend you one, if you want I am heading into the city on Wed I can drop by bring aPCI-e card if you haven't found a solution by then.

I had the card tested today and it was fine.

I had a SLI board and completely forgot to try the other slot.
I currently have the machine running in the second PCI-e slot so I guess the primary PCI-e slot is somehow the culprit.
I imagine I'll need a new main board or put out the wait of RMA this board.
