CanadaWide LF: Pentium M CPU and Slot load laptop DVD+-RW

I'm looking to do some upgrading.

CPU
Intel Pentium-M 715 or 725

DVD+-RW
Laptop slimline SLOT load DVD+-RW drive. Pioneer seems to be the most common of these.

Laptop is an Acer Aspire 3613. It doesn't matter though, the parts I want are not machine/brand specific.

I have a Pentium M 740, but I cannot confirm if it works. Was installed in a CT-479 Adapter on an Asus P4P800-SE, but I confirmed the adapter is dead.

If you bring a system to test it, and it works, $150. If it doesn't work, it's not for sale... My buddy needs a new keychain...

Edit: My mistake, I already got rid of my 750, this is a 740...

Well, I should have read Netcruzer's post, because this is a Pentium M 740, 533 FSB, 2M cache, 1.73Ghz Dothan. I'm assuming he needs the same you do...

However, I do believe this will still run in your systems, but just be limited by it's 14 X Multiplier.

Thus instead of running at 1.73Ghz, it would run at 1.4Ghz same as a 705, except this still has the 2MB L2 Cache, making roughly more to the performance of a 725. If only they'd thought to put in 4MB... Oh, yah, that's in my E6600 (only a thread or two away )

Hey. Thanks for letting me know about your CPU. I'm looking for a 715 or 725 because they run at 1.5 or 1.6 @ 400. With a pin mod I can overclock the FSB to 533 and get 2.0 or 2.16 out of those chips without a voltage mod.
Thanks for offering the 740, but since it is already at 533 I can't overclock it easily. Good chip though to anyone who wants to upgrade from a Celeron if the laptop you have is a 915 based chipset.
