he tried to tell me that the problem was I put input power onto output ports on the board. a molex and P-9 connector, turned out in the end I was right, they were both intakes and the board was actually toast, that was my one and only time I had issues with GL.
all other times have been more than pleasant, I never go anywhere for tech support unless its to test a returning product...
I still recommend A+++++

Yeah I had this same problem with Frank almost 3 years ago. Basically bought an A-Bit motherboard along with $1300 in additional parts.
Took it home, and put it together myself. The CPU temp was registering at 67 degrees upon an initial post.
Took it back and wanted a replacement, and Frank basically said no and told me I didn't know what I was talking about.
Cripes I have a degree in Electrical Engineering and my job is a Computer/Software Engineer. Sure I don't know what I'm talking about.
Long story short he wouldn't replace the board without me having to pay a $35 restocking fee, so I sold the motherboard and bought a new one from mysterybyte. I even went as far as posting my story on the newsgroups for others to know, and Frank went on and replied saying I had lied about everything.
I haven't purchased from GL in nearly 3 years and the main reason was because of Frank (as I had not dealt with anyone else).
I am glad that he is not part of the business anymore, because he was sly, untrustworthy, and had wore some really awful contacts that made me feel uneasy about doing business with him.
I think I may give them another shot and see how it goes.

not had a wonderful experience, must admit.
Placed 2 orders on the site and emailed the company about it, never got a reply to this day, about 2 weeks later.
Called up about if i could collect, was told "hold on a second we will check" was kept on hold for nearly an hour, i had left it on loudspeaker to save me holding the phone so long. I was never brought off hold.
Called back and was told my item would be in tuesday and to pop round, called tuesday to verify after waiting a week or so to make sure it was in, instead of ordering elsewhere.
When i called up they said they didn't stock it anymore and wont be getting it in again, and that they "didnt know who would tell me that" on the phone. Even though there is only 2 of them in the shop!
ended up going down and physically buying an item in the shop that i had ordered. To this day it still says pending on the site and still havent had any email replies. Yet they have stocked the items in the shop.
Can't understand what this set of fellas are playing at. Don't think i'd use them again, My recent memory purchase of 2gb of ram was done online instead of the shop as i had planned.

Ntfx,
I think I know which order you are talking about, and I'll touch on a few things.
There are 4 regular staff at the store, and sometimes a fifth that answers phones for us, however most people only see myself and Wade as we're there pretty much every day. When you originally called, you hadn't spoke to Wade or me. Not sure why you were kept on hold so long, but my guess is that we were busy in the store at the time, and we forgot to get back to the phone. I apologize for that, but sometimes it gets so hectic that we aren't able to answer everyones requests quick enough.
As for one of the items in question, we were/are in the middle of changing manufacturers of memory products, due to inconsistencies with OCZ. We were told originally that our order (containing the ramsinks) would be shipped and should be in within a few days. A few days pass and still no order.. So we reorder...still doesn't show up. This has happened so many times to us by OCZ that we call it quits after this. I tried to grab the same ramsinks from secondary suppliers, but still no luck. Again, I apologize you were told conflicting stories but we were also in a hard place since we were dependening on an order to show up. It's hard to satisfy customer's needs when our suppliers aren't satisfying our needs..
Hope you're atleast enjoying the nice thermal paste
-Jeremy

I've never actually shopped directly at Greenlyph, but i have bought parts from their branch at Intencity. My OCZ Premier kit is still holding up great, just wish i could find a second set to go with it

well don't mean you're a guru in assembling PCs now does it? i know of ppl with IT degrees and engineering degrees that can't even put a video card in so that holds no merit.
maybe you should have let the thermal paste settle down or re-seat the HSF.

I've probably spent many a thousand dollars at GL and I will spend thousands more. GL has the BEST prices, not only in town, but compared to TD and NCIX as well. The guys there are VERY helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure customers are happy. Over the last 4-5 years (or so), I have nothing but great things to say about them. Great job guys. (And no, I don't work for them)
