I've got a decent crop coming on, likely harvest time in a couple weeks or so. With any kind of luck I'll have enough for a wethop brew. Here's some pics taken today:












I planted these in 1999, for the last few years they have been let go totally wild, no attention of any kind paid to them. In fact I have no idea what strain they are, more likely 2 or 3 strains mixed in together. I had a previous plantation of Cascade, Chinook and Fuggle as well as some wild hops that had been growing on the coast of NS for 40 years or more and transplanted in with the others. I dug up 3 or 4 rhizomes from that plantation in 99 and transplanted them to the new location. Anyways they have been growing some crazy crops ever since!

And here's a pic of my mom under them a few years ago at harvest time so you get the idea of the size, the mass has grown since then. This crazy hop mess is about 8 feet wide at the base now and over 20 feet tall. Utility pole guide wires are the bomb for a hop trellis
