Default Atlantic Beer Festival

I'm hoping to attend this... found this press release for it:

PRESS RELEASE: MONCTON, APRIL 12

RE: ATLANTIC BEER FESTIVAL MAY 26, 2006. AGRENA ’C’, MONCTON COLISEUM, KILLAM DR., MONCTON

‘The interest is phenomenal says Scott Macleod, the Co-Chairman of the Atlantic Beer festival being held

2 pm till 5 pm and 7 pm till 10 pm this May 26 at Agrena ’C’ complex at the Moncton Coliseum on Killam Dr.

‘We have had people asking about the Festival since the last one ended, the interest is huge’ he says. ‘We even have vacationers coming from the Carolinas because they heard it was a great time’ This interest meant a small expansion this year, in breweries and floor space, therefore the move to the Arena Complex.

‘We are on target for 40 breweries and 90 different beer brands. Its going to be an awesome time.’

Shaun Fraser, the other co-chair says ‘Moncton needed a spring festival, and nothing better then some good beer, food and music to kick off the sunny Summer Season.’ ‘One objective this year was to expand the selection of beer to include more Maritime breweries, and also to get our neighbours in Maine and Quebec to participate.’ Three Quebec breweries/brewpubs and four from Maine are included this year.

From the smallest, Gahahn House of Charlottetown, to the giants of brewing like Guinness and Heineken, the range of breweries represented is impressive.

The week starts with a Brewers Dinner, which is a culinary delight of beer and food matching, will be held at the Pump House Brewery on Sunday May 20th. Beer and cheese tasting will take place at the Barn Yard BBQ . This is a collaboration between the Pump House Brewery and Les Gourmandes of Highfield Square. The French session is May 23 rd and the English on the 24 th.. Tickets are limited and available at the Pump House Brewery and the Barn Yard BBQ.

Tickets are $30 plus GST. For this admission price you will receive your own 4 oz. commerative Logo glass to sample all the fine brews, the music of two bands, and at the end of each session, a complimentary bus ride to your area of town. We will have cheese plates, sausages, pretzels and other tasty ‘beer food’ for sale. So all in all, a pretty nice time will be had by all.

Starting the week of April 16, tickets will be available at all ANBL liquor stores, The Pump House Brewery on Orange Lane, The Barnyard BBQ on Mill rd, local Home Brew stores and anywhere Atlantic Beer festival Posters are displayed.

Yeah that's a great little beer festival for sure. Be awesome if they could get more micros involved though, there's a lot of good beer there but usually an awful lot of crap too. Hope you make it and enjoy all the fantastic brews

Yeah, I noticed when looking at last years festivals website that most of the beers were from the big macro companies. But the press release claims there will be 4 Maine brewers this year. No doubt shipyard will be amongst then, but im hoping for allagash, i've read some good stuff about them.
