85 vw scirocco wolfsburg 1.8l 8v gas(cis) 5 speed, inspected till march 08 2door,sunroof(doesn't leak), power mirrors
The good
-Body is solid, was an american car so it isn't rotten what so ever
-Burns NO oil, only smoke Ive seen is a very little puff when you start it up
-Drives great, still lots of power, handles the road very well(Its my daily driver)
-Inspected till mar 08 and will pass again very easily
-E-brake works mint
-comes with 5 extra 14" tires with good tread, 2 14" steelies and 2 13" steelies
-comes with good stereo, pioneer door and rear speakers,panasonic cd deck with remote and an amp and 8" sub in the trunk
-since march this car has had these parts installed, new bosch starter, new air filter, new valve pan gasket, new wheel bearings all around, new belts,(including timing belt) new battery, new exhaust system from the manifold back, new shocks all around, new control arms and bushings, new tie rod ends, new oilpan, new transmission mount, all new brake system(master cylinder, rotors, calipers, pads, cylinders, drums and lines front to back) probably a few others i can't think of right now

The Bad
-hood is seedy in the front and needs hood pins installed $10 at princess auto(will be installed soon if car is not purchased)
-It is stiff shifting in and out of 1st and 2nd gear(prolly needs shifter linkage bushings or a bit of grease)
-exhaust is a lil loud because the manifold gasket is leaking(new gaskets come with car)
-wiper cog on drivers side is stripped(could easily be fixed by drilling a small hole and adding a small bolt) right now is set up so passenger side wiper wipes the drivers side
-dent in passenger side front fender
-signal light on passenger front side is off another car doesnt quite fit, but you can barely notice(works fine)

I drive this car everyday, never let me down, starts first turn everytime, I think $1200 is a very good deal as just about any inspected car is worth $1000
especially one with over $2000 in new parts on it, great lil car but too small for what i need, anyone with a truck willing to trade let me know, will also do work on top of trade, if the value of the truck is greater
