Need Opinions
Okay, our family is growing our car isn't so the hubby and I have been thinking about purchasing something bigger.
We were thinking about a station wagon, seeing as we are not into owning a van of any sorts
Can some of you please share your opinions as to which model(s) are the better choice to go with?
Thanks in advance

Taurus Wagons are natorious for problems.
I would personaly steer clear of Dodge as well.
If you looking for reliabilty as well as good gas milage I would strongly advise a Toyota of any kind. Toyata Corolla's are natorious for having no problems besides normal wear and tear repairs ie: Brakes, front end parts, exaust... If you want to spend a little extra money, the Toyota Matrix are very nice and comfortable. We have 11 drivers within our Courier company, we put our cars through some of the hardest torture a car can go through. We drive them 5 days a week on avarage of 9 hours a day stop and go, road trips... and out of our 11 drivers, 3 of us never have any down time because 3 of us own a Toyota. One of our drivers had a Tercel with over 400,000 kms on it, he hardly ever did oil changes and besides the reg wear and tear repairs he never had ANY problems with it. He sold it because he got bored with it and bought a Corolla, he now has over 300,000kms on that with the same proven reliability. Myself and one other driver also have Corollas and The same thing, no problems.
Our other drivers have owned Dodge Caravans and Full size Trucks, Hyundai Accent, various Nissans, Honda Accord, Saturns, Pontiac Sunfires, Full size Chev vans... the list goes on they have all had several problems of differents kinds and many days of down time. Some of these aren't bad as an occaisional driving vehicle, but regardless they will break down on you.
If you want an honest opinion from a person thats runs a vehichle to the extreme, I'm telling you, Toyota will not let you down. Period.
Happy trails !

Yah Toyota has a long standing reputation for reliability. They actually just surpassed GM as the largest vehicle manufacturer in the world, the reasons given by industry experts - "they're just building good vehicles, plain and simple".

Heck NO!!
But I am planning on getting at least 2 more dogs this year, and maybe one next. Need something a bit bigger than the Breeze to haul the dogs and Brandon around in.
Hoping to find something that allows the back seat to go 60/40.
Has anyone heard anything good or bad about Subaru Outback or Forester?
Just found them while searching.
And Dr Phil thanks for the info on Toyota, we will definately look into that one.
And I plan to stay as far away as I can from anything made by Ford. I can't afford the parts, my brother used to swear by Fords till he had to start continously buying parts.

Depends... Are you planning on buying new?
The older Foresters had some problems. I've never heard of an Outback or WRX having any major problems.
If you were to go with a Subaru, I'd definitely want one with a Power-train warranty. They are not cheap to fix.

No problem, I stand firmly behind Toyota, I've owned a fair amount of different vehicles in my time of driving, and they by far surpass any other when it comes to quality.
Subaru WRX would be my second choice of new cars, but only as a commuter.
Cheers, and happy hunting.
