Cat Question
I have an oddball question.
I have a kitten, that I've had for, oh, two and a half months now. She's almost five months old.
From the day I got her, she has been INCREDIBLY licky and cuddly. Now, I know it's not uncommon for cats
to want to be in physical contact but I'm a new cat owner... is it unusual for them to be incredibly licky?
Like, more than a dog? Every time they see you, they have to give you the sandpaper love and are not above holding down your forearm so they can <3 <3 <3 all over it? 
Should I expect her to grow out of it? Consider myself blessed, or consider myself cursed.

How old was she when you got her? Perhaps she was taken from her mom too soon.
She may very well end up being a very affectionate kitty. Count yourself lucky. Some cats are antisocial and borderline psychotic (like Maggie, my mother's evil cat.)

Shelters don't let them go until 8 weeks (two months) so it may very well be that she was separated too early. (This is why SIX weeks is TOO YOUNG!! People wonder why I harp on that.)

I gotta say though, she's developing into a really adorable cat.
Lot of cute little quirks. Besides being licky, which really isn't a bad thing, she's cuddly... and has a thing about bottle caps. The GF and I both drink a lot of pop, and we like to throw the bottle caps for her to chase. She'll bring them back a few times to be thrown again...... and then go and hide them in my steel toe boot. I went to put it on for work the other day, and was like...WTF......like, 12 bottle caps in it.
She has the cutest look when she wants it thrown, too. As shown here:

She's AWESOME !
Absolutely consider yourself lucky, and as was said, she was probably seperated from her mother too early. I also find that alot of shelter kittens are sooooo happy to get attention that they end up being quite affectionate.
Unlike my pshyco kitty lol.

It's true!! But she's so cute!
mine on the other hand USED to be antisocial and borderline psychotic, but she's old now and has almost completely reverted back to the cuddly needy kitty she was when she was tiny! Although she still goes through spells of ripping my arm off......aww, i love her!
